location recce for swimming pools video

our video will be filmed in a hotel in Catford. The hotel is called Hare fields. we will be filming here because they have a private pool that we have permission  to use.

Kendrick Lamar is a hip hop song writer/rapper from California. He has active since 2003. He has stated that 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas and Eminem are his top five favourite rappers. Tupac Shakur, arguably his biggest influence, has influenced not only his music, but his day-to-day lifestyle as well

Kendrick Lamar first gained attention in 2010 when he released the mix tape 'Overly Dedicated' before releasing his first independent album 'Section.80' which received a score of 80 out of 100 from Metacritic. His major debut studio album 'good kid, m.A.Ad city' was released october 2012 and received a high amount of attention, 'Swimming Pools' being one of his biggest hits.   


The song Bitch, don't kill my vibe that kendrick lamar released in 2012 received high amounts of media attention and received even more attention when highly rated producer Jay-Z released a feature on the track, this shows kendrick lamar is a highly recognized artist in the music industry. 

Kendricks fashions sense is quite basic in terms of he wears plain tops with jeans, however he does sometimes wear quite jazzy clothing, for example a leopard print shirt, in comparison to a basic grey tee.
By doing this he creates a unique yet subtle fashion image.  

risk assessment

The risks with our video can be dangerous due to us filming in and around a swimming pool:

1. Someone may drown in the pool if you are unable to swim.
2. Someone may slip over and hit your head or cause injury to your body.
3. Someone might drop the camera or other equipment and it could break or land in the pool.

To prevent these injuries from happening, firstly make sure that everyone can swim. do not run on the edge of the pool. And lastly, keep the electronic equipment away from the pool.

The track we have chosen is swimming pools by kendrick lamar. 
we have chosen this track because for a start its called swimming pools so we have an original idea of where to film our video. The lyrics are easy to understand and mimic and therefore will make our video more accurate and a better representation of the song. We all like this track and I believe that this will help us when filming because we will be more enthusiastic and have a greater understanding of what happens in the song. This song was the clear choice for us as it is the genre of music we listen to, which means we can get really enthusiastic about the song and the filming. 

The song is about people's relationship with drink and alcohol, so the video is quiet a dark video due to the fact that the song is about something negative. Our idea and concept was to make the video more fun and less depressing, so instead of focusing on the drinking on alcohol, we focused on the whole swimming pool idea. 

The camera and visuals don't really match with the audio but thats why it works so well. The tempo of the song starts off fairly quick with slow the visual shots being very slow and statics with lots of cuts to different locations. The sets for this video are normally dark to represent that alcohol is a bad thing, but Kendrick is dressed in all white to standout.

Definition: he/she is the organizer and developer of the film tat they are trying to produce: I would organize and arrange the scenes and how I would like them to go

Producer: Mason Haliday

Definition: The Producer is frequently the first person to become involved in a project; they participate directly in all the main producing. Also they make the budget. :I Booked the cameras and organized the budget and also I made the changes that needed to be improved

Director of Photography (D.P.): Mason Haliday

Definition: they are the heads of department on filming productions and have a leading role of approving thing: he is in charge of the filming and positing of the camera and redoing the scenes if needed

Editor: Mason Halliday

Definition: an Editor is someone who work’s closely with the Director, after the filming is completed, his is to assemble sots to piece together to make the final film. : I am in charge of the editing and making the advert all on final cut.

Camera Operator:Mason Halliday 

Definition: The Camera Operator sets-up positions and operates the camera. The right angels the film the right shots for the scenes. :  He is in change of the cameras positions and also is in charge of the angles.

Assistant Camera (A.C.): Harry Holland

Definition: assist the camera mad holding him when walking back so he doesn’t trip up and also helps him set up. : He is inchage of helping the camera man and helping him but giving advice.

Assistant Director (A.D.): Mason Halliday

Definition: he is his help man taking responsibility for number of important jobs due to the camera. He also needs to take care of the camera man when using the camera.

Art Director: Harry Holland 

Definition: create all the set art work and makes the shots and sets look as good as they should do. : he is in charge of making the shot look good and making the space around the shot even

Casting Director: Oliver friend

Definition: organizes the cast to produce them to be organizes and be ready for them to film the next shot. I am in charge on telling then what is going to happen next and were they should be.

Location Scout: Sir

Definition: you travel around the world to find all types or locations for your film to be filmed at: sir is inchagre on were we go and how to get there but he takes ideas form us on were to go.

Definition: they produce all of the mangers television like. Light children’s programs and is responsible for all the organizational aspects of production including a budget: I am charge on what’s happening and also the budget

Definition: screenwriter are responsible fro reaching certain ideas for the story. Writhing screenplays and delivering the. : I take the responsibilities on the ideas and creativity for the adverts.
